SCIENCE TELLS US THAT A HUMAN LIFE BEGINS AT FERTILIZATION
Human development begins at fertilization when a sperm fuses with an egg to become one. This marks the beginning of each of us as an unique individual human being.
THINK ABOUT IT:
If a pre-born baby is growing & moving, that pre-born baby is alive, isn’t he/she?
If a pre-born baby has human parents, then that pre-born baby is also human, isn’t he/she?
If all humans have human rights, then so do pre-born babies, don’t they?
So, since pre-born babies are growing and have human parents, then it follows that they are living human beings.
And, since abortion kills them, then we know it is the worst form of a human rights violation.
Truth is, you cannot believe in both human rights (life) for all and abortion (death) for the most vulnerable humans - pre-born babies.
WHAT ABOUT DIFFERENT CIRCUMSTANCES?
There are often incredibly difficult circumstances surrounding pregnancy, just as there are difficult circumstances surrounding all stages of life. For the same reason that we don't kill born humans when we're faced with these difficult situations, why would it be okay to kill the same human before she's born?
WHAT ABOUT PREGNANCY RESULTING FROM SEXUAL ASSAULT?
Sexual assault is one of the most terrible crimes in our world. We must support survivors, and ensure perpetrators are brought to justice. The child is also an innocent survivor. Can we truly solve one injustice by perpetrating another?
Can we truly heal the trauma of sexual assault through the death experience of abortion?
WHAT IF THE MOTHER'S LIFE IS IN DANGER?
Mothers faced with life-threatening medical risks deserve the best medical care. Fortunately, with modern medicine, abortion is never medically necessary to save the life of the mother. Medical practitioners around the world have acknowledged that there are always medical alternatives to abortion, which will not directly target the pre-born child.
