Is the Republican Party Worth Trying to Salvage?
And if the answer is "yes", how? If "no", then what?
Today’s Republican Party, led by the likes of Mitch McConnell, Kevin McCarthy & Ronna McDaniel, is not interested in saving this Republic; they’re only interested in saving their power structure, because power is money. As a result, the GOP has abandoned you because it is no longer guided by the Biblical and Constitutional compass that once kept sacred Life, Liberty, small/limited government, consent of the governed and the Bill of Rights. In this edition of the Ledger Report, Graham Ledger poses the question to Patriotic, Conservative, Constitutional Americans: Is the Republican party worth trying to salvage? I believe current GOP leadership is threatened by what has become known as the “MAGA” supporters and those who still worship Trump; and I believe there are two sets of conservative, IMHO, who make up this group. I’m in one of the camps. Who, among true conservatives, cannot support Making America Great Again?
But I believe both sides of the conservative collective have to be willing to see and remove the stick in their eye; the progressive, Marxists sees it clearly and is using it against us, quite effectively.
Conservatives, by nature, whether they openly admit it these days, claim to support a nation under God and we should first unite in that powerful collective focus. It’s our most effective weapon for succeeding in reclaiming our country from an evil agenda.
The GOP establishment thwarts efforts by Trump because he highlights their weaknesses and the loyalist, almost idol-worshiping, Trump supporters thereby resist the establishment, as they should, because they’ve abandoned their mission.
However, I believe that only by all so-called conservatives seeing and admitting the truth of who Trump is and what he has been able to accomplish can we collectively survive and succeed in driving out a marxist movement. Trump has proven to be an effective instrument for awakening sleeping conservatives from their apathy to the current crisis they’ve allowed to form and grow, and Trump has and continues to wield a glaring spotlight, exposing the marxists’ agenda.
Trump is NOT the republic’s Demi-god/Savior. Only we, the people, who are willing to see the crisis before us, and choose to unite and act, can save our country. We must get out of our ideological heads of separation based on slogans we don’t like and find our common ground from which to make our stand. Unfortunately, I don’t believe Trump, in his own arrogance, can unite the two factions. We need a pragmatic, aesthetically appealing personality to align conservatives. The firebrand approach, without humility to the core conservative principle; faith in God, as the supreme creator and leader of we, the people, falls flat on, I believe, the true strength of conservatism. There’s no basis of a true principle to follow in a mere mortal. We the people must first return to God, in our own hearts, and place our faith and trust on our true purpose as Americans. Then we can unite and collectively lead our country back to its founding principles and the righteous leaders will emerge. I know this may sound too elementary in its scope, but as an early educated Christian who has wandered away and is now returning to the practical principles of faith, I’m doing my best to express how I see our frustration and paralysis. We are trying too hard ourselves, in our own arrogance, to correct the sinking ship, ignoring the most perfect Captain waiting patiently for our request of his help.
I’m not attracted to any individual; they’re policies, perhaps, as I was impressed with Trump’s. But his human flaws and limitations turned him into a lightening rod that divided many who should have become more united.
